Don’t worry, Everybody.
This can still work out.
Just look at the following facts:
Jay Leno took over hosting duties at The Tonight Show a few weeks before his 42nd birthday.
Jimmy Fallon took over Late Night on March 2, 2009– A few months before he turned 35.
So, if Jay hosts The Tonight Show for seven more years, and NBC bumps Jimmy Fallon up to the big chair (at age 42– the same age Leno was when he got the show), then, when Late Night needs a new host, it would be a few months before my 35th birthday.
Late Night with Ryan Stout is still a very real possibility.
The numbers add up; things are just fine.
