That One TV Show

I like that one TV show where every episode starts with some kind of mystery. And the main character has out-of-this-world observational ability coupled with amazing deductive reasoning. You know what I’m talking about? No, not MONK. The guy is surrounded by a team of people who, in one way or another, help solve the mystery. What’s that show called? Not CASTLE. It’s the other one.

The lead character, despite being a genius at work, has problems maintaining a relationship with anyone of the opposite sex? You following me? But, it’s still obvious to us, the viewers, that the lead is in love with his co-worker? Not PSYCHE. That’s not it, either. Would you listen?

Some members of the team have little romantic trysts with each other, that, despite all the ups and downs on the show, never really fully fizzle out. No, it’s not HOUSE. Not BONES, either– Male lead! Male. You’re not paying attention.

So, anyway, every once in a while the main character has the mystery solved right off they bat, but he chooses to keep his mouth shut because he’s interested in gathering some extra piece of evidence. THE MENTALIST!!! No, wait, it’s similar, but that’s not it.

It’s the one where, ultimately, the lead guy is, deep down inside, driven to his work by that thing that happened in his past that changed his life forever. No, no, no, it’s not LIE TO ME.

Ugh, what’s the name of that show?

I can’t remember, but I like that show.

Fortunately, it comes on a lot.
